This is a nice song about how we can need, how other people can help up make it through hard times, and how it can be hard when people go away from our lives. I like how the second verse talks about how we can do things on our own but it is still difficult when people leave us.

Activity 1: Good for classes that need to stay seated
Pass around beanbags or beat buddies to each student. Sing the song while rocking the bean bag. For other turns, let students come up with different places to put the beanbag while they flow.

Work with students to create a movements for each line of the song. How can you show sailing, rowing, leaving, and crying? How do you would your movements change for the second verse?
